I have a lot to say about this outfit. First of all I would admit that the product images gave me higher expectations and as I tried it on I was reminded of the challenges that come with producing an item like this at this price range.1. I ordered a small, and am overall a petite person. Since the fabric is sooo crinkly wrinkly (esp out of the bag) it looks best when it fits snug and is filled out (like the product images), but I found that it fit me both snug, not snug enough, and too snug, meaning a lot of varying crinkly wrinkly everywhere that I’m gonna have to try and steam out and/or just get used to. I realize this kind of shiny pleather fabric is common in cosplay esp miccocostumes but it’s just something to be aware of, I think esp in bright pink the wrinkles can look p ugly lmao. The corsetting feature at the front just barely works for a snatching effect on me and again can really crumple the fabric in a way that is unbecoming. Overall the fit of it is just difficult to nail and honestly there isn’t an incredible amount of stretch in all areas? so I can’t imagine it always fit everyone who wasn’t more petite super well either.2. There are some odd design choices that you may notice, like the hanging garter belts with nowhere to go—they look even more awkward irl lol, I may try to do smth to make them look more purposeful. The gloves were a bit claustrophobic as they are pretty much a straight tube—forearms on humans being smth not typically built all the same width—so even as someone with small hands and wrists they were not easy to get on. The leg? Covers? Socks? Socks I’ll call them, made me laugh out loud when I first saw them—they are literally a giant pink pleather sock, with a long leg shape and little foot shape at the end for you to put basically your whole leg and then foot into. I honestly don’t know what I was expecting, maybe something more like boot covers or leg warmers, but I guess the thought is you put on the pleather sock and then a heel or something. Again the fit on these was (understandably) finnicky as making a sock meant for most small people’s legs could mean a lot of shapes, but I imagine my experience was similar to what it would be like to shrink wrap my leg, which yk, was alright I guess. In conclusion I liked the overall look and effect of it enough to keep it, like a sexy Giorno magical girl superhero kinda thing like no other item could do, but I also got it super discounted during one of the sales and would have been more disappointed (like I wasn’t already lol) if I’d paid the whole $70. It has the marks of a mass produced cosplay item more than I’ve had before from this site as well—really rough or unfinished edges, threads unraveling, some lopsided sewing placements—that I will be attempting to remedy and be aware of as I prep to wear this out. Do I think it’s a cool concept and super fun and unique? Yes. Do I think the execution was perfect, or that getting it really right for everyone was ever feasible? No. Obviously I’d recommend getting it if you’re interested cuz it’s going out of stock soon, and if you're not as picky as me I'm sure it'll be a great costume, but I’m here to temper expectations a bit if it sounds like you might have problems similar to mine. I also am scared to wash it and will be figuring that out too lol. Anyway I hope y’all don’t encounter as much trouble as me, it really is a fun outfit!!
